Location

Oakridge Quarter Horses is located in Collingham, near Newark on the Lincolnshire / Nottinghamshire border, with quick and easy access to the A46 and A1.

Newark Northgate train station is just 10 mins drive with London’s Kings Cross approx 1hr 20mins and Edinburgh approx 2hrs 30 mins. Also within a 40 min drive is East Midlands and Doncaster airports

Visitors arriving via any of these routes can be collected and numerous hotels and bed and breakfast’s are also located within easy reach with local pubs serving good food.

Facilities

Oakridge currently has 17 indoor stables with rubber mats. Indoor and outdoor hot wash racks and 2 solariums ensure horses the best attention whatever the weather. We feel turnout is important for health and well being, so every stabled horse has it’s own day turnout paddock and 42 acres of post and rail, mare, foal and young stock paddocks with large straw bedded field shelters caters for those kept out.

The large outdoor floodlit arena has a sand surface and we also have a 60ft round pen with viewing gallery and an undercover horse walker.

Building works are well underway to give us 30 new purpose built indoor stables, a 240ft x 120ft indoor arena with viewing gallery and a state of the art breeding facility with stallion area and AI centre.
